This is a walking tour of the main historic sights on the northern side of the river. It covers the central part of “Centro Storico” the historic centre of Florence from the world-famous Duomo to Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio.

This tour of Florence is intended as a “city highlights” tour. You will get acquainted with the general layout of the historic centre and you will see all the major tourist attractions. 

You will learn about the timeline of Florentine history and you will hear stories about the artists, poets, bankers, politicians and rulers who made this city the cradle of the Renaissance. You will get some useful tips on where and what to eat. This tour  will also help you to plan better the rest of your stay in Florence.

All the monuments are seen from the outside, we don’t normally go inside during this tour.

The tour lasts approximately two hours.

What is included in the price?

The price shown is for the whole tour, not per person. It doesn’t include the price of any entry tickets.

How many people can go on this tour?

Up to 12 people is fine, but a larger group would require radio earpieces, which would add approximately 4 Euros per head to the price of the tour.

Where do we start?

We can start the tour anywhere in the historic centre, at the railway station or in the car park if you are in Florence for one day or at your hotel if you are staying in Florence overnight or for several days.
